When you find a great fall pant, what sweater do you pair with it?
Charcoal is a sophisticated color that truly looks good on everyone and these drapey, wide-leg, wool G. Label trousers are the perfect tone. Beautiful and elegant, they're particularly well suited for narrow waists. The Cos cashmere crewneck sweater we picked to wear with them is lightweight and relaxed. Pairing these two pieces together works because the proportions are right and the monochrome look is fabulous. The way to wear it is to half-tuck the sweater and pair with a good, dark shoe, preferably a beautiful pointy-toe heel or shoe boot. If you want to take it a little more casual, try a white platform sneaker like these from Veja.
You can stop your search for the perfect leather legging here - this one by J. Crew is the most affordable one you'll ever find (of a quality you'll actually want to wear). It comes in navy or black. We suggest trying the navy and pairing it with this oversized Apiece Apart cotton cashmere sweater. The sweater is the perfect length with any type of skinny pant. Wear this look with a lace-up black short boot or high-top white Converse sneaker. If you'd rather a leather pant with a less skinny silhouette (and you don't mind paying a little more) try these from Frame.
For a super cool (but still subtle) pant, check out this cropped R13 wool crossover. The waistband is an unusual touch and designed in way that doesn't create a weird crotch situation; it is, in fact, slimming. Trust us. We're pairing it with a slim wool V-neck Theory cardigan sweater. This sweater sits beautifully on top of pants, but is even better with its narrow ribbed waistband tucked in. Pair with a shoe boot or brogue (brogues available here in more sizes)
This Apiece Apart hot pink corduroy wide leg pant is super fun. High waisted and slightly stretchy, it also has a cool lace up detail at the back. Wear casually and pair with this terrific navy cashmere Equipment sweater [30% off with code EQFRIEND right now]. The deep V-neck is amazing and the right amount of revealing. Half tuck it for sure. Apiece Apart pants tend to run a bit small, so size up if you're in between. Pair with a black or beige shoe boot or a fun sneaker like a Converse or these hip Common Projects leather high-tops (if you're a size 37 or 38, you can get them less expensively here.)
