Joseph for spring

Updated: Mar 4, 2021

Joseph's fall collection was filled with fresh, modern, beautiful new colors (think teals and burgundies). It was so well done. Joseph is continuing a strong focus on color with its spring collection. We're highlighting pieces in two of our favorites: a bright red that happens to be very wearable (read: not at all orangey) and a gorgeous steel blue. Both can be paired with all of the neutral basics in your closet. And all are worthy investments for your (post covid) future.

This moody light blue that Joseph calls blue steel is SO good and we love the monochrome look featured here with cropped trouser and silk top. You can easily layer a black jacket on top or change up the look by playing with the tie. It's cute thrown over the shoulder or you could tie it loosely in front or even tuck it in. Joseph is also doing a dressier, wider leg trouser pant in the blue steel if you prefer that silhouette. We also would love this top with the teal Joseph pant we profiled in the fall (now on massive sale!).

A black silk shirt by Joseph is always a good idea. Jen has three (in different silhouettes) that she's had forever and that go-to pieces in her closet. They are really the perfect elevated basic - high quality, long lasting and always with a little extra attention to detail. In this version, the combination of a v-neck with volume through the body and sleeve is what makes the top special and flattering on most bodies. It would be great half-tucked into a high/mid- waisted pant. Pair it with some layered necklaces or put it under a blazer with the poet sleeve popping out. It's a worthwhile investment.

Another new color for Joseph this spring is this amazing red. These pieces are beautiful alone or paired together for a modern monochromatic look. Each item, the blazer, top, pant or dress, can go straight from the office to a cocktail party or dinner out (dare to dream!) with a quick change of shoe. The dress in particular is super versatile (easily worn all four seasons) and you can change up the look by how you wear the tie. Belt the dress with the ties hanging down (use a black belt, wide or thin, right at the waist). Or tie the tie in a bow or fling across your shoulder. We also LOVE this color with denim (see some chic pieces below). Some outfit combinations to consider -

Denim trench; denim skirt; denim shirt; denim jean.

And we can't leave you without mentioning the great shoe below. The lug sole was a trend this fall that is carrying right over into spring. Joseph adds one here to a standard British loafer style for a strong, updated look. Wear these with the red or blue pants above or an ankle length jean.
