Spring dresses

There's nothing better or easier than throwing on a dress in spring or summer. The best of the bunch transition easily from day to night with a different shoe or piece of jewelry. It's a perfect time to enrich your style by experimenting with a new silhouette or a fresh pattern. The right dress is also a fabulous alternative to the ubiquitous white jean -- way cooler in every way.

We've put together some of our favorites from this season below and in the Ellevated shop. They're organized in three categories: feminine, traditional and shirt dresses. Let us know what you think in the comments. Note: sizes are going fast.

La Ligne; Rhode; A.L.C.; Ulla Johnson

The Feminine Dress. Even those of us who lean minimalist in our style the rest of the year can be tempted into a more feminine, romantic dress in the summer. A puffy sleeve, a pretty floral pattern, and a graceful flounce all feel right this season.

Co; Dries van Noten; Sacai

The Traditional Dress. These three dresses are updated versions of traditional silhouettes. Classic lines in cool summer cotton, they're polished enough for the office and can go straight to dinner with barely a change of shoe.

Dries van Noten; R13; Cos (pink); Cos (navy)

The Shirt Dress. Probably the easiest summer day dress in the world is a shirt dress. Whether a super casual T-shirt style or a more classic button down, the shirt dress never goes out of style. The four above have a decidedly modern cut and flair and you will want to wear them again and again.
